A real estate developer engaged us to enhance the safety and visual appeal of an outdoor walkway through effective nighttime illumination at one of their commercial properties.

After evaluating multiple lighting concepts and presenting curated luminaire samples, we were selected to design and manufacture a custom linear LED lighting solution tailored to the site.

Diana Lighting and Controls delivered a 60 ft long precision-engineered linear LED lighting system seamlessly integrated along the underside of a continuous handrail on an elevated walkway, providing consistent, glare-controlled illumination.

We completed the lighting scope from design, manufacturing, and detailed wiring diagrams to close collaboration with the electrical contractor, ensuring a smooth installation and a durable, high-performance result that significantly improved both safety and aesthetics.

Challenge

Given the recessed outdoor installation at the base of a continuous handrail, the project required an IP68-rated LED light source operating at a maximum of 24V for electrical safety in a wet, accessible environment.

The extended lighting runs introduced a risk of voltage drop, so driver locations had to be planned carefully to keep light output consistent across the full length of the luminaires.

We engineered the LED lighting system to balance performance, reliability, material costs, and installation time without compromising the finished lighting quality.
